Services

Curriculum

Curriculum is available for annual check out, including teacher editions, at no cost except for consumables. Parents may order cost-effective, reusable curriculum, which is non-religious in nature. Items must be returned at the end of the school year. Curriculum viewing and selection days assist parents in choosing materials from a variety of texts.

Testing

At various times during the school year, nationally standardized testing is offered at no charge for Options students. Students of all grade levels may test, though Colorado only requires testing for grades 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11.

Field Trips

Optional field trips are planned to museums, the symphony and other educational destinations. Parents are responsible for their own transportation and for supervision of their students. Several times per year, we take the day off from classes for an All-Day Special Event where we dive in to a selected subject. So far we have built a castle out of cardboard boxes, learned to use a pottery wheel, and brought in speakers from Channel 7 News, CU Discovery Science and Peanut Butter Players Theatre Company.
